What’s in each permit
Everything comes from public records that cities and counties publish. We collect it every night, remove duplicates, and sort each permit into roofing, pool, solar or remodel.
- Address
- Street, city and ZIP, linked to the official permit record so you can verify it.
- The work
- The permit type and the city's description of the job, e.g. “tear off and re-roof, 32 squares”.
- Value
- The declared job value, when the city records it.
- Contractor
- The company that pulled the permit, and its phone number where published.
- Owner
- The property owner's name, where the city or county publishes it.
- Issued date
- When the city issued the permit. Most arrive the next morning; some cities publish weekly.
